The folks at allfacebook.com recently posted an article that hinted at an official Facebook app being released for Android at some point in the (possibly very near) future. There have been rumours of such an app for a while, but All Facebook claim to have received a tip off from one of the suits at Facebook that confirm that this is the case.
Given that Facebook have made no secret to the fact that they are actively seeking to make the site mobile friendly, coupled with Android’s ever-increasing share of the mobile phone market, this seems like a bit of a no-brainer for the folks at Facebook.
