Some information, alleged to relate to the HTC Supersonic has leaked. We can’t vouch for how genuine the information is, but it’s interesting enough to warrant a mention. The phone will supposedly be packing a 4.3 inch touch screen (a la the HTC HD2) and support for WiMAX (4G). There have also been reports that the phone will have it’s own stand so that you won’t have to hold on to it to watch video on that sprawling screen size. But, by far the most tantalising rumour surrounding the phone is an image which is supposedly a leaked screenshot from the Supersonic which the folks at the BoyGeniusReport got their hands on. Take a look at the image below. Yep, that’s right, it’s running Android 3.0. I rather suspect that this is a hoax, but we can but hope. Although, given HTC’s track record with updates for their earlier devices, does this mean we’ll be seeing another tweet from HTC stating that they’ve decided, in light of the upcoming new version of Android, to forget updating the older phones to 2.1, but they’ll be going straight to 3.0 instead? Let’s hope not.
