Now that the limited edition, guitar styled MyTouch 3G Fender is out (Stateside anyway), the T-Mobile ad campaign for the phone has kicked off, with the Slowhand himself, Eric Clapton as the face of the campaign.
If you’re a fan, then you’ll be glad to hear that, as well as guitar sound app, there will be some Clapton musical content pre-loaded on the phone, as well as content from other musical luminaries such as Wyclef Jean, Avril Lavigne and Brad Paisley (who???). If you’re not a fan…well, I’m sure they’ll be straightforward enough to uninstall…
The MyTouch 3G Fender, is pretty much the same as the original version of the phone, which was released some months ago now, with the addition of a 3.5mm headphone jack and the cool guitar-themed wood-effect look. Software side, the phone will have a doubleTwist installer and a new, HTC developed media player. The phone will also ship with a 16GB microSD card.
T-Mobile have said that Fender-themed accessories will also be available, such as a Fender carry case, Fender-branded shells and a Rock Dock docking station with built in speakers.
