Motorola MILESTONE finally available in the UK high street

The Motorola MILESTONE was released back in December last year, and we waited with interest to see which of the UK carriers would announce they were going to be offering the phone. The weeks of waiting turned in to months and there was nothing other than the odd rumour here and there. Well, here we are in March, and, at long last, the Motorola MILESTONE is going to be avaiable to the Great British public from the high street. Carphone Warehouse will have the MILESTONE available for free on 24 month contracts at £30 per month, and I daresay, in a few weeks, you’ll be able to shop around for a better deal at one of the independents.
We’d actually began to assume that the phone was never going to be available other than via the internet, so this took us by surprise. Click here for our review of the Motorola MILESTONE from back in January.
(Updated – thanks Kostas Sigalas for the correction)

Hi, i’d like to say that I bought the motorola milestone a little more than a month ago on an 18 month contract for free with unlimited internet from a website called buymobilephones.net and its with T-Mobile! The only thing they couldn’t provide me with was a decent insurance as the website deals with a very very bad insurer and T-Mobile didn’t support this phone with their insurance policy so I had to use my bank’s phone insurance instead, which takes 21 days to activate from the moment u register, leaving u uncovered for 3 whole weeks but oh well…
…sorry forgot to say the contract was at £30 too!
Hi there,
Thanks for the correction. I’ve changing the wording a bit to reflect the fact that you could get the phone on contract from independents online.
Thanks again

We here at This Android Life are Android fans. As such, we read most of the other Android sites on a daily basis. We don't want to read articles that have been duplicated across all of the sites, so we don't expect you to. With this in mind, we aim, where possible, to release articles that the other Android sites haven't ran. If you find a news article on our site that is duplicated on another Android site, then we either ran it first, or it was deemed a big enough news article that we've felt we had to run it too.
