Dell’s Android 1.6 packing Streak tablet will be available exclusively from O2 at some point in early June. The Streak is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 2GB of onboard storage, 5 MP camera with dual LED flash, front facing video camera, HSDPA/3G connectivity and a microSD storage slot. Dell have also stated that the Streak will be getting an upgrade to Android 2.2 later this year.
It’s an intriguing device and it’ll be interesting to see what sort of price it’ll ship at. It can’t seem to make up it’s mind whether it’s a phone or a tablet though, and instead seems to be aimed square in the middle of both camps. Whether this will help or hinder interest in the device remains to be seen, but the Dell logo will surely appeal to many, including those who still haven’t even heard of Android.
