Following on from their apology at the beginning of April, Enso have released another update for those folks still anxious to see if the low cost tablet will arrive, or if it’s (as some are beginning to fear) nothing more than vaporware.
Here’s what they had to say (incidentally, the apology at the start of the email is because many people received the exact same email multiple times, we at This Android Life received it 21 times in total):-
Dear Customers, We apologize for those who already got the same email. This is for those customers who haven’t received that email yet. Your device will be out in the next week probably. We hired a logistics/forwarder company here that is preparing all the shipments. Engadget will receive their test unit within tuesday of the next week, so you can expect a full review from them very soon. If you are amongst the first customers, the logistics process in place will make it so that you will receive according to the time you have placed your order. You will receive an automatic mail from our systems with the tracking number as soon as your device is sent to your place. Please do not be worried and flood us with more emails. We are having a lot to do coordinating all the operations and this won’t help, but delay procedures even more than necessary. We hope you understand we sincerely did not mean to be rude, it is just an important fact, for you and all the rest of our customers that are still waiting for heir Zenpad. We understand all your frustrations about what happened and we feel really sorry about that. In the immediate future we will be rolling out some accessories for the Zenpad, along with interesting new products with different form display for factors, and even Android handsets with 3G, GPS, and WiFi at affordable price. Might you decide to buy from us again we will throw a free accessory of your choice as a symbolic reimbursement for your long waiting time and for having disappointed you, in the hope you will gain trust in our company again. We are a team of young and honest guys that have the dream to help technology advance and make some decent income in the process. Our field of action is not limited to electronic devices but spans covers like programming, startups, and internet business in general. If you are amongst the customers who are not being able to see their order under their account private section, do not worry. It is is due to a bug of the CMS system running our website, but it won’t affect the shipping of your unit, If will be of course back to normal functionality as soon as possible. If you cannot accept to wait any longer that, we understand that, just file a request refund and we will process it as soon as paypal unlock our accounts or paypal will proceed itself. A last note for those who did say that the Zenpad does not feature the official Android Market, that is not true. You can see it in action at http://chinable.net
So there you go. If you’ve been waiting a couple of months for your Zenpad, you can relax, safe in the knowledge that it’ll “probably” be with you next week… If you receive a ZenPad, please get in touch so that we can let people know that the device is actually starting to ship.
