In commemoration of Grand Theft Auto III’s 10th anniversary, Rockstar Games, will be coming out with a special edition of the popular RPG game for Android devices.
Grand Theft Auto is considered one of the classic computer and console games which lorded the video gaming scene during the late 90′s. Now, its famous developer, Rockstar Games is attempting to capture the smaller screen mobile market. Set to be released on December 15th toward the Android Platform, the game has been tested and recommended to work on the following Android devices:
Smartphones:
- HTC Rezound
- LG Optimus 2x
- Motorola Atrix 4G
- Motorola Droid X2
- Motorola Photon 4G
- Samsung Galaxy RT-Mobile G2x
Tablets:
- Acer Iconia
- Asus Eee Pad Transformer
- Dell Streak 7
- LG Optimus Pad
- Mororola Xoom
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1
- Sony Tablet S
- Toshiba Thrive
True to being an open world title, expect the Grand Theft Auto III Annoversary Edition to be equally exiting and action packed just like its console version. One of the most awaited unique feature of the Grand Theft Auto game series is its Soundtrack, but so far we have not heard of any news about what’s in store on the vehicles’ “radio stations”.
The game will be available for purchase from Android Market for the price of $4.99 in the US or £2.99 in the UK. Be sure to check out from the list above if your device is included among those supported before shelling out your precious bucks. Obviously, the game involves graphic intensive elements which requires powerful hardware specs, so that explains why the GTA III game prefers those devices that have dual-core processors.
