Ubergizmo ran an article today about a new ebook reader which is being released by a company called Kami. It’s being sold as the Kami Ezy Ebook, but any eagle-eyed regular readers may spot something familiar about the obviously PhotoShopped images of the Ezy Ebook (see above and below)….this is exactly the same unit that Haleron may or may not have been selling to punters as the Haleron iLet Mini HAL. So,we’re guessing that Kami are resellers who are flogging rebranded units as they’re own. We’re not suggesting Kami are …

We reported a few weeks back that a company called Enso were selling Smit 560 units rebranded as the “Enso ZenPad“. The units were going to be being sold for a pretty tempting $155. Going by the feedback we’ve had, demand was pretty high, but actual shipped orders were proving ellusive. We’ve had a few emails and comments from people who had ordered a ZenPad but received nothing and we’d been in touch with Enso ourselves to find out if there was any logistical hold up, only to be told …

Stuff.TV were given a bit of time to play around with the ICD Gemini, which was announced yesterday. Given the use of phrases such as “pant-wettingly thrilling” and “blisteringly fast” in their hands on article, we’re guessing they quite liked it. The unit they had was a prototype and was nowhere near finished, so they did find some flaws, such as the touchscreen being resistive rather than capacitive (although apparently the final versions will have capacitive screens) and a number of the features, such as VOIP, were not fully implemented …

Ok. I know the iPad thing has gotten a lot of people pretty excited, but I’m in serious danger of to losing track of all the Android tablets that are supposed to be coming out over the coming months (and let’s not even mention those that have been promised yet don’t even seem to actually exist like this one). Most of them seem to be of around the same sort of spec too – a 5″ 800×480 screen, MicroSD expansion, built-in speakers and support for 720p playback. So, you’ll forgive …

The folks at Android France have managed to get their digits on the soon to be released new Android phone from LG; the LU2300. The LU2300 will apparently see a release in Korea at some point over the next month.
The specs are still a little sparse on this one, but what we do know is the phone will be running Android 2.1, powered by a 1GHz SnapDragon CPU. It uses a 3.5inch, 800 x 480 WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, has a 5MP camera and a slideout QWERTY keyboard which …

Following on from the news that People of Lava are going to be releasing a TV with Android 1.5 built-in, we thought we’d put a few questions to them. I have no idea how genuine this is [edit- it's genuine, see update below], but, we received a tip off about a Swedish based company called People of Lava, who claim to be releasing a series of televisions with Android 1.5 built-in. The Scandinavia television sets are full 1080p HD compatible and will be available in three different sizes; 42″, 47″ and 55″. The photos on the site, whether they are simply concept art or not, hint at some really great looking TV sets running what seems to be a …
