Deliverace, stunning 3D race game, coming to Android soon

Whilst browsing Badlogic Games’ blog, I spotted the video at the bottom of this article. It’s an upcoming Android game from Pixelbite, the team behind the Polarbit published Raging Thunder 2. Check out the video, if the Android version looks anywhere near as good as the video, this could be one hell of a sweet game. There are a lot of really promising looking Android titles being released this year that could really raise the standard bar by quite a distance, which, let’s be honest, is exactly …

Puzzle game ConnecToo reviewed

Review time again. This week, we’ve been taking a look at another puzzle game, this time Connectoo by Rudolf Halmi. ConnecToo involves connecting a number of blocks of colour with another block of the same colour on a grid. You draw a path on the grid between two similarly coloured blocks to join them up, but you need to plan carefully as you need to leave yourself a clear path to join the other blocks on the grid and you only have a limited amount of time to do it.

Mystique Chapter 3: Obitus reviewed

Ths Mystique series of atmospheric episodic 3D games are among the most popular titles available on the Android Market.  The latest episode, Chapter 3: Obitus, has just been released by Bendroid and will undoubtedly sell well if the first two games are anything to go by.  I’ve been giving the new episode a thorough playthrough and thought it was time to post a review.
Obitus sees the Mystique plotline continue further – Chapter 1 saw you wake up in a bathroom you didn’t recognise with no idea how you got there.  …

Android RPG hobby project enters Alpha testing phase

I’m always keen to read the thoughts and experiences of developers on the development of Android apps and games.  I’ve recently come across an interesting blog by a hobbyist developer going by the name of Ben. According to the blog, Ben is an RPG fan who was disappointed at the poor examples of the genre which were available in the Android Market, so he decided to code his own one. The result is, or rather, will be, an RPG called DefileDroid which is similar in looks to the …

Badlogic Games – Interview with Mario

Mario of Badlogic Games has agreed to answer a few of our questions. Badlogic Games are the people behind the physics puzzler Newton, which has recently broken 10,000 downloads on the Android Market. No mean feat.
As well as developing in Android, Mario writes a blog detailing his experiences with developing Android games. As part of the blog, Mario has let his readers in on his next Android project, which is actually pretty exciting – an Audiosurf inspired procedurally generated game which uses the player’s music to generate gameplay.
