Android developer sent C&D order over game

Android game developers StickyCoding, who are the folks behind the air traffic control game Flying Aces, have received a cease and desist letter from an iPhone game development company called Firemint.  Firemint claim that Flying Aces “plainly is derived, at least in part if not entirely” from their own air traffic control game, Flight Control.  The folks at StickyCoding, clearly a little bemused at the claim, replied, asking if they were being accused of using any of Firemint’s graphics, audio or code, to which Firemint responded:-
“The similarities between Flight Control …

Zenonia released to Android Market

A few weeks back, we mentioned that award winning mobile RPG, Zenonia, was on it’s way to Android.  It’s makers, Gamevil, have today announced that the game is finally available to purchase.  Sadly, it’s not all good news: the app is only available for devices running Android 1.6 or higher, which rules out all you Hero users out there, and, also, it’s coming in at $5.99, which, at the end of the day, isn’t really a lot of money, but it is more expensive than the majority of games on …

Android Pang! clone, Spheremare reviewed

Back when I was at university, I spent rather longer than I probably should have playing Pang! in the local student bar.  I don’t think I ever did beat it, but I had a blast trying.  So, when I heard about Spheremare, an Android Pang! clone by the modestly titled Awesome Software, I downloaded and installed it straight away, although I did have a little trepidation as to what I’d find.
Here’s the official blurb from the game’s Android Market entry:-
Spheremare a game in the likes of Pang. Take your gun …

DSi augmented reality game, Ghostwire, coming to Android and iPhone

During GDC, Tom Soderlund, the lead developer at A Different Game, the team behind upcoming Nintendo DSi game Ghostwire, told Joystiq that they were also working on Android and iPhone versions of the game, hopefully to be released shortly after the DSi version at Halloween.

Ghostwire is an augmented reality game which overlays images of ghosts on top of a live feed of the real world picked up from the DSi or phone’s camera.  It’s a neat idea, and if the trailer is anything to go by, it promises to be …

The official description from the Android market reads-
“Silent Hill Mobile 3 is …
